Atlantic Structure Movers LLC typically moves structures or those parts of structures commonly considered immovable. At Atlantic Structure Movers, we apply principles of physics and elements of geometry in creative approaches to the structural move needs of each individual project. We are full service Building and House Movers. We provide residential, commercial and industrial structural moving, raising, shoring, underpinning, rigging, and art transport services in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Delaware.

 

 

Family owned and operated, Atlantic Structure Movers has served clients since 1983. We have the capability to shore, raise, rotate and move residential houses, commercial buildings, historic structures, farm buildings, commercial & residential roofs, monuments, sculpture/artwork, machinery, and unusual structures constructed of wood, masonry, steel, glass, or materials of unique composition. Atlantic Structure Movers utilizes the most up to date, state-of-the-art technology and equipment – including a double-acting, unified jacking system. Jahns Structure Jacking System, manufacturer of the system used in raising and moving the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, designed and manufactured our unified jacking system equipment to those same exacting standards. Only a unified system such as ours prevents torque, twisting, rocking or racking a structure. Our company adheres to the industry’s highest standards of professionalism, and our crews are specifically trained to work exclusively at structural moving. Each project receives full-time, on-site supervision. This collaboration of factors – technology, expertise and supervision – contributes to our impeccable safety and success record.

 

 

Jay Thompson, our founder, is a nationally accredited Structural Mover. The International Association of Structure Movers honored Mr. Thompson with awards ”In Recognition of Outstanding Achievement” for the "Widest Structure Moved" and the “Structure Moved with the Most Square Footage on One Level” after he raised an approximately 23,000 square-foot Dome Roof on an athletic auditorium in New York. At the heart of our work is a passion for innovative solutions considerate of cost-effectiveness and efficiency. Mr. Thompson designed, and had Triple-T Fabrications fabricate custom jacking/shoring posts for the Dome Project, enabling workers to perform all jacking while safely standing at ground level. This equipment impressively cut time and costs while exponentially enhanced safety and efficiency. Mr. Thompson has served as a Board of Director and Committee Chairman for the International Association of Structure Movers. Jay Thompson also co-authored the Industry's Guidelines and Standards for Structural Movers. Atlantic Structure Movers remains an active member of the International Association of Structure Movers, the Northeast Association of Structural Movers, the Chamber of Commerce, and the National Federation of Independent Businesses.
